Ontario Colleges Library Service (OCLS)

The Ontario Colleges Library Service (OCLS) is a non-profit corporation and consortium of Ontario's 24 publicly-funded college libraries. OCLS provides a suite of core services fully funded by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities (MTCU), including eresource licensing and subscription management; the maintenance of a union catalogue; the development and management of research projects and pilot services of interest to the colleges; and contract management for commercial selection, acquisition, and cataloguing services. Additionally, a variety of services are offered to the colleges on an opt-in, cost-recovery basis, such as our virtual reference service, askON; the hosting and administration of a centrally-hosted ILS, an EZproxy server, and a consortial repository for digital objects; and the administration of access to ACE, a growing repository of accessible-format etexts.
