The Atla Religion Database® (Atla RDB®) is a comprehensive index to journal articles, book reviews, and essays in all fields of religion and theology. The database covers materials published in various languages and includes retrospective indexing for some titles.
The database includes more than 3.4 million bibliographic records, such as:
- Over 1.1 million book review records
- Over 294,000 essay records
- Over 491,000 book records
Content spans major world religions, faith traditions, biblical studies, church history, pastoral ministry, and more.
Atla Religion Database with AtlaSerials (Atlas)

This resource combines the indexing of Atla RDB with full-text access to a curated set of core journals in theology and religion, including more than 400 in full-text. Coverage begins in 1949, with retrospective indexing for older issues extending back to the 19th century.
Includes more than 3.4 million index records, including:
- Over 1.1 million book review records
- Over 294,000 essay records
- Over 491,000 book records
Full-text content is provided for hundreds of journals selected based on scholarly merit and scope.
Atla Religion Database with AtlaSerials PLUS (Atlas PLUS)

Atlas PLUS expands on the content of Atlas by providing full-text access to an even larger set of academic journals in religion and theology. It includes all titles in AtlaSerials, along with over 270 additional full-text titles.
Full-text content is available in 31 languages from 48 countries, supporting global and interfaith research. Coverage includes materials dating back to 1881.
In addition to full-text access, users benefit from the same robust indexing as Atla RDB:
